“Crystal Radios -From Scratch” Book by Richard (Dick) Whipple |
|
One of the pleasures of crystal
radio is the satisfaction of using minimal technology to receive radio
signals. Crystal radio enthusiasts are great experimenters and thrill in
creating “different” designs and packaging them in aesthetically pleasing
ways. In my book, we provide a complete introduction to crystal radio. I
start with the humble electron, layout crystal radio theory, and finish off
designing and constructing a working crystal radio. As with all my “From
Scratch” books, I make no assumptions about what you know about the subject.
Occasionally, math is involved, but I keep it at the basic algebra level
whenever possible. I also use simulation and breadboarding (actual hardware
testing) to verify theory. In short, I take the mystery out of crystal radio
and open possibilities for the reader to explore radio and electronic
subjects beyond the limits of my book. Order from Amazon by clicking here or using ASIN number: B0CVLHYWKY. |
